Photo album of Hawaii from the early 1940s

1942. Hardcover. Very Good. Hardcover. This is a fascinating and unique album of photographs and post cards from 1940s Hawaii. It includes a photo of the Princess movie theater with the 1942 film "Male Animal" showing, starring Henry Fonda and Olivia de Haviland. Other photos show the Wakiki Theatre in Honolulu, a clock with the name "Crossroads of the Pacific, the Honolulu Recreation Center, as well as beaches, towns and cities, and of course, numerous photos and postcards of dancing native women. The postcards are of various interesting sites including Wakiki Beach, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, the Mormon Temple, native fish s pecies, the Capitoland more. There are about 145 images in a large album measuring 10 x 12 inches. In a brown cover with "Aloha Hawaii" image of a palm tree in gilt and a gilt and red and blue image of an eagle and US flag with USA as title. Covers are chipped but otherwise the album is very good.
