Quarter bound in brown leather with marbled paper boards, and leather tipped corners under the paper. Spine has volume number in gilt, loss of leather and end bands along the head/tail, and severe rubbing wear and chipping. Front board is detached from textblock, cracking along the rear joint edges, chipping to the edges, moderate tears along the surfaces, and age toning and soiling to the boards. Bumping to corners resulting in visible boards. Front pastedown head corner is torn away. Textblock has age toning along the edges, minor soiling on some pages throughout, and light to moderate foxing scattered on some pages throughout. Large closed tear on page 501/502, impacting text.
