By Kahane, (Rabbi) Meir
Secacus NJ: Lyle Stuart Inc.. Fine in Very Good dj. (c.1987). First Edition. Hardcover. [nice tight clean copy, apparently unread; the jacket has two small chips, one at the top front hinge, the other at the upper right corner of the rear panel]. INSCRIBED ("To Marty") and SIGNED by the author on the front endpaper. A political manifesto by this far-right Israeli political activist, an ultra-nationalist who was one of the most controversial figures of his era. (He's described in the jacket copy of this book as "a thorn in the buttocks of the wealthy and entrenched Jewish leadership.") Founder of the militant Jewish Defense League in the U.S. and, later in Israel, of the radical Orthodox Jewish, religious Zionist political party Kach, which was eventually (in 1994) banned by the Israeli cabinet, Kahane himself was convicted of multiple acts of terrorism over the years, in both the U.S. and Israel. He was assassinated in New York in November 1990 by an Egyptian-born U.S. citizen. Signed books by Kahane are uncommon, to say the least. Signed by Author .
