A promotional booklet titled "Wonders of the Deep", published to advertise Scott's Emulsion of Cod Liver Oil, a health supplement. Includes eight leaves of illustrated facts about the creatures of the sea, including a two-page spread with a quote from the Rime of the Ancient Mariner surrounded by swimming sea creatures. The sea creature facts are interspersed with pitches for the brand of cod liver oil. An example of one of the sea creature facts: "The brain of the Glass Eel can be seen through its transparent skull" ([2]). The aim of the booklet is to show readers how the product takes advantage of the biological and scientific wonders the sea has to offer. Single vol. (6.75" by 4.25"), pp. [16], illus., in original illus. self wrps with image of three fishermen in a small fishing boat on upper wrapper, and an image of a fisherman with an oversized cod on the lower wrapper.
