Boards in bright blue cloth with gilt stamping to spine and blind decoration to front. Ex-library. Boards generally dust-soiled, bumped and rubbed with minor wear to spine ends and corners. Spine creased with a library number to tail end. Few pages sitting proud at middle of text block and edges lightly toned. Pencil to first free endheet and brief pencil throughout. Title page cleanly tearing at gutter edge to about halfway. Library number to top corner of title page and library checkout list and pocket at rear endsheets from the Student's Library of Brooklyn Preparatory, last (and only) checked out in October of 1950. A Good or better copy.

Signed by Floyd at first free endsheet as "The Author." A history and list of the New York volunteers, which included companies from Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, of the 40th Regiment during the Civil War.
