All 4 volumes firm and VG in their full, contemporary-to-the-period calf, each volume stamped by the Bayntun of Bath bindery at the top of the first blank endpaper. Uniform 16mos, all edges gilt. Fine gilt-tooled compartments and bright, intact leather title labels along the spines. Very light wear at several of the edges, mild staining to the panels of Vol. IV. 8 engraved title pages all told plus 4 additional full-page engraved plates within the text (2 to Vol. I, and 1 each to Vol. II and III).
