SO BIG" Health Rule

A charming illustrated health rule for children, encouraging healthy habits to grow big and strong. Advertises the W.H. Greene insurance company to American families. The right-hand edge serves as the height ruler, and this example has been annotated in pencil at the 40" mark ("Jane July 1950 4 years"), pencil at the 49" mark ("David July 1950 8 years"), and pen at the 58" mark ("Jane- June 12 years"). On the left-hand side of the ruler are images of cartoon animals, and different health charts: idea height and weight by age for men and women, and boys and girls ("These weights and heights were taken from the records of the Association of Life Insurance Medical Directors and the Actuarial Society of America"). Unfolded, the rule measure approx. 73" by 3", or a little over 6 feet; there are six panels total fastened together by metal grommets measuring approx. 15" by 3" each.
