Las Vegas, Nevada, 1975. Twenty-eight real photo postcards measuring 3 ½ x 5 ½ inches. Overall very good to excellent.. A collection of real photo postcards of a Black couple enjoying the Lady Luck Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1975. Vegas was one of the earliest places in the United States to desegregate. In 1960, James B. McMillan, President of the Las Vegas NAACP, threatened a protest on the Strip to force a meeting with the mayor and prominent local businessmen, and successfully negotiated for desegregation in that meeting. The Las Vegas Advisor remembers the Lady Luck, which closed in 2006, as a beloved budget option, slightly off the beaten path.
