Jean Lurcat's first book. From an edition of only 115 total, this copy is un-numbered but signed "J.L." by the artist, and with an additional pencil inscription from the publisher Aristide Gonon (presumably to the renowned novelist Pierre Mac Orlan): "a ce vieux cher Mac Orlan, mon vieux A.J. Gonon." These translations are the work of Leon Bazalgette, who erased some of the sexual ambiguities of the original poetry.
