A very sharp copy to boot of the uncommon hardback --in its silver cloth-- of the 1939 1st edition of the author's first published book. Clean and Near Fine, with wonderful illustrations-in-charcoal by Laszlo Matulay accompanying Norman Corwin's text of this radio play. Also includes a 1 pg. handwritten letter (presumably from a former owner of this copy) describing a visit from renowned bookman Allan Covici, who expressed interest in this copy.
