Louisville, Kentucky: Du Rand's, 1944. Good to very good. Light dust soiling, short tears.. A printed leaflet advertising cold storage for furs, keeping them safe for women during the summer months from "heat, moths, mildew, theft and fire". What makes this leaflet notable is its use of the war effort to market itself; it asks women on the homefront to "SAVE and USE the things you have" to support the boys abroad. Also promotes war bonds and stamps, and has an illustration of Uncle Sam on the front. An excellent example of the ubiquity of this kind of messaging during the war. Includes photo of the storage room and of the temperature control panel. Illus. bifolium (6.25" by 3.5").
