Miami-based, Colombian artist Alba Triana (Bogotá, 1969) has focused her career on music composition and its application in different forms of art. Her practice explores the essence of the natural while it intersects art, science, and technology and involves different types of vibrations such as sound, light and electromagnetism, to create vibrating objects, kinetic installations, aural and visual experiences and resonating acoustic spaces. Her artworks which include sound and light sculptures, vibrational objects, and resonant spaces are hybrid and cross the boundaries of a diverse set of field. Her compositional practice involves the manipulation of found objects and technological equipment.
