- Pennsylvania University Press, 1971
Pennsylvania University Press, 1971. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good +. A pleasing copy of the 1971 1st American edition. Solid and VG+ (bookplate at the front pastedown, very light foxing to the fore-edge) in a crisp, VG+ dustjacket, with minor wear and 1 tiny closed tear along the spine crown. A couple of tiny abrasions as well to the front panel and along the rear panel's upper-edge. Still though, very presentable. Tall quarto, 241 pgs. of text followed by over 100 crisp black-and-white plates, Glossary, Bibliography and Index. Important monograph on the major Italian architect Carlo Maderno (1556-1629), considered one of the fathers of Baroque architecture.
