Of note is an article on new games published by Milton Bradley emphasizing the importance of play to education: "The system of teaching through play, which the Kindergarten represents, has been popularized and extended in a hundred ways through the enterprise of this house" (p.20). Other articles address subjects on paper making mills, "The Story of the Merriam Family" (of Merriam-Rowley Dictionary fame), sales and business news, photography, book collecting and "The Taste for Fine Books", blank book manufacturing, toy books by McLoughlin, and job printing. Includes dozens of ads for publishing equipment and manufacturing machinery. Single vol.
