A guide to gift card designing for art teachers, published by The School Arts Magazine, an arts education periodical for fine and commercial artists and students. This set is comprised of the following components: illustrated blue folder; printed folding introductory guide/instructions; and nine (9) illustrated plates with exemplar greeting card designs. This set appears incomplete, and lacks at least seven (7) plates: 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, and 13. from the instructions sheet: "The cards and motifs shown on these plates make a series of general suggestions. Based on the types shown here, as regards lettering, design, and card sizes, gift cards for the various holidays and for birthdays can be planned and worked out. Once your students produce such cards, they will never again be satisfied with stock cards." Third edition. Folder measures approx. 11" by 7.5" and features a design for a Christmas card on the front. Pedro Joseph de Lemos (1882-1954) was an American painter and printmaker best known for his contributions to the Arts and Crafts Movement.
