German Lace Paper and Wildflower Birthday Card with Hidden Message

Germany, 1870. Very good. Toned, a couple nicks to Victorian scrap, later pen numeration on verso.. A handsome 12mo birthday card made from fine lace paper, and a large embossed Victorian scrap depicting a cluster of richly colored wildflowers. Underneath the scrap is a hidden message that reads, "Herzlichen Gluckwunsch zum Ceburtstage" (Congratulations on your birthday"). Measures approx. 4.75" by 3
