Thine For Ever" -- Handsome 16mo Valentine Sachet with Printed Silk, Victorian Scrap

England, 1860. Very good. Light dust soiling. A handsome embossed valentine sachet, adorned with an embossed Victorian scrap depicting a ring of wildflowers and a message printed on silk. The message is printed in blue on cream silk, and is titled "Thine for Ever". It reads, "In vain, in vain, Love's mystic charm; To break would I endeavour: Then let me own I'm thine alone, Thine dearest one for ever." It has been affixed to the envelope through a scallop-edged window in the envelope. Measures approx. 3.75" by 2.25". It has been sealed, and filled with some kind of filler or fiber for display purposes.
