England, 1860. Very good. Light dust soiling, a couple nicks.. A handsome 12mo valentine made from a chromolithographed image and a small Victorian scrap, both affixed to a particularly fine example of a lace paper bifolium with gold. The image that peeks beneath the lace paper depicts a blue-eyed woman in a purple dress with a fine lace veil and gold jewelry. The small Victorian scrap at the bottom depicts a basket of fruit with the message "An Offering of True Love". Measures approx. (4.75" by 3.25").
