5” X 3 1/4” A finely illuminated double-sided leaf from a 15th century Book of Hours. Thirteen lines in Latin, with richly decorated and embellished capitals in blue, red and gold. A beautifully penned border with leaves in gold, and tiny flowers in blue and red. Nicely matted in cream board, with border ruled in blue and red. 14 1/2” X 12”.
