This book talks about the diversity and heterogeneity of trans women who inhabit Mexico City and the processes of shaping their gender identity. Through a journey through the narratives of some of them, it is possible to observe the changes and permanences in urban sociabilities that are part of these identity processes. The trans atmospheres portrayed in this work allow us to know part of the urban experiences of some trans women in a period that goes from 1996 to 2013 and that shows both transphobia and the responses to it in the different dimensions of daily life: parties, discos and spaces for transformation, activism, socio-digital networks, and autobiographical narratives themselves.
