New York: Times Books. Fine in Very Good+ dj. (c.1978). First Edition. Hardcover. [nice clean book with no discernible wear; the jacket shows just a touch of wear at the extremities, minor scuffing on the front panel]. (B&W photographs) Memoir by the Hollywood director, the only member of the original "Hollywood Ten" to later recant his HUAC testimony, which got him off the blacklist but also made him something of a pariah, at least among the Hollywood left. Laid in to this copy is the program from Dmytryk's 1999 memorial service at Forest Lawn, which bears some handwritten notes regarding several attendees who were not in the printed program. (In a nice little touch of irony, the program encourages any "friendly witnesses" to say few words of remembance.) .
