8vo, original cloth, illustrated, gilt title on spine, 320 pp.Binding a little worn, libray label on front pastedown, a little foxing, some offset from engravings; otherwise a tight clean copy. The first and onlt edition of this work was published by a coommittee of the North Church Society to celebrate the 200th abbiversary of the congregation. It contains five portraits, including those of the author and Increase and Cotton Mather. Perhaps one claim to fame of this church, is that this was the building where Paul Revere arranged for the famous signal "one if by land, two f by sea" to be displayed to warn the Americans of the apprach of the British troops.
