Includes texts by Lou Reed, Bob Shelton, Bob Chamberlain, and John G. Powers, a flexidisc with the Velvet Underground's "Loop" on one side and Peter Walker's "White Wind—A Love Raga" on the other, a copy of tabloid newspaper "The Plastic Exploding Inevitable," 12 postcard reproductions of paintings from the John and Kimiko Powers collection, a flip book featuring Jack Smith's "Buzzards Over Bagdad" and Andy Warhol's "Kiss," a "trip ticket" booklet relating to LSD and Timothy Leary, and an "Aspen" subscription form and advertising ephemera.

"Aspen" was an art magazine created and published by former "Women's Wear Daily" and "Advertising Age" editor Phyllis Johnson. With issues appearing irregularly between 1965 and 1971, each volume came in a customized box or folder with various multimedia components, as seen here, with a total of ten issues published. The magazine has been the subject of multiple museum and gallery exhibitions, including a 2016 retrospective exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery in London.
