The bindings are tight and square. Text is clean; light, even age-toning. Modest shelf handling wear with bumped corners. A few of the pictorial cover labels have minor rubs. . The My Book House series was first published in 1920 as a six-volume set by The Book House for Children, compiled and edited by Olive Beaupré Miller.
These original six volumes were designed to present stories progressively by reading level, with simple nursery rhymes in the early volumes and more complex literature in the later ones. After 1928, the series expanded into 12 volumes.
