Scott, who was sentenced to two years at the Cuyahoga County Workhouse "on two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This work, released in the first month of Scott's imprisonment, is a testimonial from four of his friends." The introduction concludes with a request for checks to be sent to Scott in prison, "for cigarettes and other incidentals.
