First collection by the Chinese Misty School poet, in English via various translators. Bei Ling launched his literary magazine Tendency (傾向) the following year, printing a few thousand copies in Hong Kong or Taiwan and delivering them by hand with friends in China. He was arrested for "illegal publication" in August of 2000 and detained for two weeks, before being fined and deported.
