By [Ted Berrigan; Tom Carey] Allan Kaplan
New York: Harper and Row, 1971. Good/Very Good. New York: Harper and Row, 1971. First Edition. Octavo; publisher's cloth-backed boards in blue pictorial dust jacket retaining original price ($5.95); 99pp. Jacket edgeworn and creased with light color bleed to spine verso. Boards unfortunately quite water-spotted and soiled, with a light bow to front board and wear along edges. Spine slightly cocked; soiling to endpapers; text unmarked. Good to Very Good overall.

Inscribed by Ted Berrigan to fellow poet Tom Carey on front free endpaper with added nota bene, "Al Kaplan was one of the first of the younger people to recognize that Frank O'Hara & Ashbery et al were the new 'it.' Frank liked his poems + actually, he's quite good. Still is, for that matter, but doesn't have the pushiness of me, Ron, Joe etc, so is neglected." A notable copy for the context shared by Berrigan regarding the New York School poets.
