"Video Watchdog" was a digest-size film magazine published bimonthly from 1990 to 2017, based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Although the publication had a stated focus on horror, science fiction, and fantasy cinema, content frequently deviated from these genres, and addressed art film, Spaghetti Westerns, exploitation film, anime, and more.
Actress Barbara Steele is today known as "Britain's first lady of horror," having appeared in Mario Bava's groundbreaking 1960 release "Black Sunday," and a subsequent string of Italian films throughout the decade.
