Very light bumping and discoloration to spine ends, bright and strong; internally clean, bookplate to front pastedown, lightly toned paper mainly due to wartime economy standard stock; in a clean photographic dustjacket with shallow chipping to the spine ends, some light soiling and general minor wear to the extremities, there is also a small pencil note to the inside front flap. A very good copy.

An account of the men and missions of Squadron 303, made up almost entirely of Polish exiles fighting alongside the RAF from British airbases. The inclusion of trained and highly commited and motivated pilotsd in exile from occupied nations was a tremendous contributor to the RAF's victory in the Battle of Britain and the continued fight for air supremacy against the Nazis.
