Paris: Treuttel et Wurtz, 1816. 1/4 calf. Very Good. The 1816 correct 1st edition, complete in 2 volumes. Both vols. solid and VG in their contemporary-to-the-period 1/4 calf over light-green boards. Light offsetting and darkening along the panel edges, very mild creasing and rubbing at the spines. Tasteful vintage bookplate at each pastedown, very mild, intermittent offsetting and spotting. Bndings strong, pages clean and bright. Uniform octavos, 15 full-page plates and 13 vignettes (incluiding several fold-outs) complementing Louis Simond's text. The 2 engraved frontispieces ("Berger du Pays de Galles" and "Jeune Fille du Pays de Galle") especially attractive.
