Oblong octavo (12cm x 16.3cm); blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine; front cover from paperback edition retained and tipped-in; 73pp in Zukofsky's facsimile handwriting. Boards rubbed with a couple light bumps along edges and scuffed at corners and spine ends; some fading along top and bottom, with faint smudges to cloth. Small pictorial monogram ownership stamp of poet Hugh Seidman to front pastedown, else interior unmarked. Binding is sound.
Signed and numbered by Zukofsky in red on colophon at back, with additional inscription "to Hugh Seidman / Ever / January 6, 1960" in blue below. Seidman, a student of Zukofsky's at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University and friend thereafter, won the Yale Younger Poets Prize in 1970. Copies usually seen in wraps, including a few other presentation copies, so we presume Seidman had this done in boards himself.
