Dearborn MI: Ford Motor Company. Very Good. (c.1954). First Edition. Stapled wraps. [some external scuffing and edgewear to covers, some horizontal stress lines along spine, a couple of black smudge lines on front cover]. (B&W illustrations) 64-page booklet containing all the information you need to va-va-voom! in your new 1955 Ford T-Bird -- the very first model year. There are three main sections to the text: "From the Driver's Seat" (instructions relating to the instruments, controls, and optional equipment); "Out On the Road" (tips about fuel economy, engine performance, and safety); and "In the Garage" (a maintenance guide, including information on trouble-shooting, tuning-up, and various other adjustments "for the enthusiast who prefers to do his own mechanical maintenance"). Finally, a 4-page "Specificiation" section, and an index. This is NOT the readily-available reprint, but the real (original) deal: the very booklet you would have found in the glove box of your brand-new T-Bird. According to Wikipedia, the 1955 model -- the first made available to the public -- was first sold on October 22, 1954; the Foreword in this printing is dated November 1, 1954. .
