Green cloth hardcover; 139pp; two unnumbered leaves of photographic plates (halftones) inserted before title page. Some small, old clear tape adhesions to front endpaper, else a tight, complete, Very Good copy. No imprint, but dated from foreword.

Cornwell (1867-1953) was Governor of West Virginia from 1917 to 1921 and the long-time proprietor and editor of the Hampshire Review (of Romney, WV). This volume comprises a selection of his columns from the Review written between 1898 and 1915. An uncommon little book, especially signed.
