New York: New Directions. Near Fine in Very Good dj. (c.1956). First Edition. Hardcover. [nice clean book, with just a touch of wear to the base of the spine; the jacket shows a teensy bit of wear at the extremities, some minor creasing along the bottom edge of the front panel]. The screenplay by Williams, accompanied by two one-act plays, "27 Wagons Full of Cotton" and "The Long Stay Cut Short; or, The Unsatisfactory Supper," from which it was developed. The Elia Kazan film, released in 1956, was a pretty raw piece of work. .
