Octavo; half morocco over marbled paper covered boards; with a black morocco label on the spine; viii, 1-145 pages including the Index; some wear to the boards; some loss to the bottom edge of the title page; there are previous owner’s signatures neatly written throughout the book including the upper board and turnins; a very sweet inscription by the owner praising the author and importance of this copy; foxing throughout.~~Edited by Thomas Jefferson’s grandson from manuscripts written by Thomas Jefferson. The 1730-1740 cases are based on notes Jefferson took from Attorney General John Randolph reported by his father, Sir John Randolph, Mr.(Edward) Baradall, and by Mr.Hopkins. The 1768-1772 cases were witnessed by Mr. Jefferson himself.~~ ~~. Very Good binding.
