(6.5" by 4.5"), pp. 182, in-text illustrations including topical headpieces, in original illustrated boards backed in leather with image of boy at desk on front and advertisement for Webster's Unabridged Dictionary on the back. Contemporary inscription to front free endpaper ("Mabel Egleston, Croton Landing New York") and pencil inscription to upper board ("Mabel D[?]").
