Paris: 1624, 1624. 1/4 leather. Very Good. The 1624 3rd editrion, bound in a late 18th/early 19th century 1/4 calf over marbled boards. Solid, tight and VG, with very light wear along the spine crown and to the outer hinges. Older marbled edges and matching marbled endsheets and pastedowns. This translation was made by Cesar Oudin (c. 1560-1625), the close friend of Cervantes, who first translated "Don Quixote" into French in 1614 and who first introduced Galatea in its 3rd edition (Paris 1611). 16mo, 294 pgs.
