By John Keats
London and New York: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle and Rvington AND Dodd, Mead and Company, 1880. Pictorial cloth. Very Good. Charles O. Murray. A tight, very presentable copy of the 1880 1st edition. A handsome folio in its light-blue cloth, with bright gilt-lettering and design along the front panel. Minor scuffing and offsetting at the panels, somewhat darkened spine, front inner hinge starting (but still perfectly sturdy). With 19 lovely full-page etchings by Charles O. Murray --all with their original tissue-guards-- accompanying the timeless verse of John Keats. Top-edge gilt, deckled fore and bottom-edges. Curiously, this copy boasts 2 title pages, both a London AND a New York title page. Lovely decorative pastedowns and endsheets as well.
