The magazine that best defined the spirit of a generation that emerged in the years after '68 in clear opposition to the solemnity of the magazines and cultural supplements circulating in Mexico at the time. The editorial director is Rogelio Villarreal, well known in Mexico's counterculture. La Regla Rota' (The Broken Rule) in 1984, and in 1989 he began publishing La Pus Moderna, a collection of criticism and humor. Artist Ramon Sanchez Lira "Mongo" was the co-editor Villarreal now directs the publishing house of Replicante magazine and is one of the founding members of the Pedro Meyer Foundation. Many of the photographers of the post 1968 generation were involved. The cover by Carla Rippey (b. USA) who was active in the feminist movement in Boston and in the Chilean left from 1969 de 1973 and has lived in Mexico since 1973. In the 70s she took part in founding the Infrarrealist literary movement and participated in the Mexican artists’ movement "Los grupos" as a member of the artists’ collective Peyote and the Company.
