By Christie, Stuart
London: Scribner. Near Fine. 2005 (c.2004). First Paperback Edition. Softcover. [minor dog-earing to lower right corner of front cover, no other significant wear]. Trade PB (B&W photographs) INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the title page, and most uncommon thus. Memoir by the Scottish-born anarchist writer and publisher (1946-2020), who was arrested in Madrid in 1964, at the age of 18, and subsequently convicted for his part in a plot to assassinate General Francisco Franco, for which he spent three years in a Spanish prison. He returned to Britain, where his activism and publishing activities soon landed him in more hot legal water: "In 1972 he was arrested again, suspected of being a member The Angry Brigade. The trial became a senational confrontation between the state and those who tried to overthrow it. Christie was acquitted; his co-defendants were all sent to gaol." Signed by Author .
