A German cigarette card album from the Hansom company, printed stiff paper covers, oblong 9" x 12," 37 pages, with glassine guard sheets, containing all 168 tipped-in cards in fine condition, plus 3 full page photos. Cards for German and international movie stars including: Luis Trenker, Jgo Sym, Anny Ondra, John Barrymore, Willy Fritsch, Lilian Harvey, Roman Navarro, Adolph Menjou, Maurice Chevalier, Tom Mix, Buster Keaton, et al. Of special interest are complete pages dedicated to Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich (with images of "Blue Angel"). In full page photos are a still of Greta Garbo and Conrad Nagle from "The Mysterious Lady" (1928), an MGM silent romance, and UFA's "Das Flotenkonzert von Sansoucci" (1930), one of the first German talkies. A remarkably well-preserved album.
