By BARBER, H.
New York: Robert McBride & Company, 1927. Eighth Edition Revised. Octavo. 25cm. Publisher's bottle green cloth titled in gilt to spine and front board. 148pp.; [43]. Light fraying to spine ends, bumped and scuffed to extremities with some darkening of the spine gilt and some soiling and discoloration of the cloth, strong and tight; internally clean, endpapers toned, illustrated throughout with back and white illustrations in text and a suite of 42pp. of plates of aircraft types to rear. A slightly worn copy, but robust and durable enough to be accounted very good.

An early and oft-reprinted work on aeronautics, concerned with the more technical aspects of the aeroplane and with sections on aerodynamics, control surfaces, and flying techniques rather than being simply concerned with aeroplane design.
