A facsimile reproduction of Bradford's manuscript, detailing the voyage of the Mayflower and the settlement of Plymouth Plantation, including many of the hardships the early settlers faced. Bradford was a founding member of Plymouth Plantation and became its second governor. It remains an important early source for historians of colonial America, and was a strong influence on future writers of history and religion, most notably Cotton Mather. Included with this edition is an account of how the manuscript was returned to Massachusetts.
