Easily Very Good or better. Four volumes bound as two in early marbled boards, paper spine labels, edges sprinkled red (7-5/8” x 9-3/8”); text in French, German and English. Illustrated with 146 (of 147) fine hand-colored engraved plates, lacking plate 53. Volumes paginated separately, but the handsome plates are sequentially numbered. The New York Botanical Garden copy has 152 plates and mentions a fifth volume which may contain the five plates not present here.
