Bound in tan cloth quarter binding with green cloth boards; gilt lettering on front board, and gilt titling on a black label on spine. Boards show moderate age toning and shelf wear, with rubbing to all edges, exposed board at the fore corners, and small stains along the spine. Small cuts with some fraying to cloth at the corners of the spine. Abrasion in the top corner of the front board. Text block is lightly age toned throughout, slightly darker on the edges. Gift inscription on recto of frontispiece. Inscribed and dated "9/19/59" by Harry S. Truman in blue ink beneath frontispiece: "Kindest regards from Harry S. Truman". Shelved in Case 1 1/2. 1404842.
