Huston & Co., "Wholesale General Commission Merchants" based in Philadelphia. Includes a brief report on the market as of June 14th ("CHEESE is selling quickly at quotations, with prices looking up"), as well as a list of prices offered for various categories. The categories range from butter, cheese, dried fruits and vegetables to feed, grain, feathers and sundries such as beeswax and tallow. At the foot is general advice for consigners to follow to ensure freshness pre-refrigeration era (e.g. "Eggs should be packed in clean oats, or fine cut straw, or clean wheat chaff. Avoid oat and clover chaff"). Features an attractive 2.5" by 2" engraving of a merchant vessel at the head. Printed on yellow paper measuring approx. 11" by 8.5", stamped and hand addressed on verso.
