A c.1900 card game in the original illustrated box, published by J. Ottmann Lith. Co. of New York. The game is billed as an "easy to learn" game for children and adults with 151 cards, ten of each number from 1 to 15, and a King card that acts like a joker card. Players build up different piles of cards, and the first to use up their "Rex" pile wins. This set is incomplete and lacks: the original printed instructions sheet; one "3" cards; one "4" card; and one "5" card. The box measures approx. 6.5" by 5" by 1.25", and depicts a king on his throne on the upper lid. Contemporary pencil and ink markings.
