New York: Harper & Brothers, 1956. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good +. A crisp, very presentable copy of the 1956 true 1st edition, the stated 1st edition (with the M-E code just below the statement). Solid and VG (light offsetting at the endsheets and pastedowns) in a bright, price-intact ($3.50), VG+ dustjacket, witrh very light soiling to the spine and just a touch of mild wear along the spine crown. One or two tiny closed tears as well along the edges but still, an appealing copy. The book for which JFK the following year (1957) was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in history.
