Oceanside, CA: Black Unity, 1970. Very Good. First issue of the ephemeral newspaper which borrowed art from Emory Douglas on the front cover. [8] pp. Tabloid format. Very Good with toning, light creasing and slight rubbing. An anti-war, pro-Black Panther Party newspaper put out by G.I.s at Camp Pendleton calling for the military to exempt African Americans from service. Articles on arming oneself with military grade weapons appear, how to fight oppression from law enforcement, and includes a centerfold of Huey Newton.
