Very Good. 448pp. Vigesimoquarto (24mo) [13 cm] Purplish-brown pebbled cloth over boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine ("L.D.S. Hymns"), and blind-ruled borders on the spine and covers. Pale yellow endpapers. Extremities very lightly rubbed, with underlying boards exposed at the corners. Spine leans forward slightly, and there are several short splits to the cloth at the spine ends. Text block cracked at p. 209, however book is still very sturdy. Stitching visible in the inside margins of the pages here and there. Previous owner's name neatly stamped in ink on the front free endpaper. A dozen or so of the bottom fore-edge corners of the pages have minor creasing. Intermittent letters in dark pencil on the pages. Overall, the pages are quite clean. Complete. Flake/Draper 1780. Preface to the Twentieth Edition:
